| Simple Steps To Improving Your Health. |
We hear it all of the time - Americans are overweight and becoming more so. Obesity has been linked to many preventable illnesses, including heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer. Diet and regular exercise are the keys to maintaining a healthy weight. While we can't always find the time to work out at home or at the gym, there are simple changes that we can incorporate into our daily routines that will help us fight the 'Battle of the Bulge'. Get into the habit of taking the stairs instead of the elevator. When you park your car at work or at the shopping mall, choose a space that's far away from the entrance. In addition to burning a few extra calories by walking farther, your car may be spared a few dings by not being parked next to another vehicle. For more tips on exercise and weight, visit lifetips.com. Of course, exercise is only one side of the equation. Diet plays perhaps even a bigger role in determining our health, but changing our eating habits is extremely hard to do. Even if you don't want to change what you eat, you can go a long way towards maintaining a healthy weight by simply controlling how much you eat.
